Our expert nutritionists in London can help with IBS. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is now so common that it affects up to one third of the UK population and the number of people with IBS is still on the increase.
There are a wide variety of symptoms associated with the condition; some people suffer only mild symptoms such as bloating or gas, while others are crippled with pain that affects their everyday life.
Other symptoms can include:
- Intermittent Diarrhoea and Constipation
- Spasms
- Nausea
- Headache
- Burping
- Poor appetite
- Heartburn
- Acidity
Our approach is to look at the underlying causes of your IBS symptoms, address any imbalances and heal your digestive system, with a natural approach to Irritable Bowel Syndrome treatment.
Usually we find that the root of the problem is multifaceted and can include some or all of the following:
- Dysbiosis – an imbalance in your good and bad bacteria
- Candida – overgrowth of yeast
- Stress – often part of the picture
- Bacterial infection
- Parasites
The good news is that with an appropriate natural nutrition programme from a nutritionist, the body quickly begins to heal and repair itself. Often small dietary changes can have a major impact on overall health and well being. Once any underlying infections or imbalances are addressed our clients have reported improved health and reduced symptoms, see Joanna’s story below.*
What our clients say – about nutrition as a natural treatment for IBS:
After my first meeting with Emma I walked out feeling like someone had really listened to me, really cared about me and what I had been dealing with for the past 5 years.
The treatment was spread over a 6 month period and at times was difficult but month after month I could feel my body changing and now I have reached the end I feel like a completely new person. I have my life back!!
After years of being told my problems were normal and I had to live with them I now know this is not true. Conventional doctors may not recognize my problems but Emma has. Thank you so much Emma!!*
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2016. Once diagnosed I went into remission for about a year. In late 2017 my symptoms came back and got worse and worse.
The meds didn’t seem to be working anymore.
In March 2021 doctors advised me to take immunosuppressive drug (not great in the middle of pandemic) and if that didn’t work the next step would be to remove my colon! My good friend recommended me to Emma and to be honest I was reluctant as I had tried a nutritionist the previous year with no benefit to my health. However I thought I had nothing to lose and gave it a go.
I met with Emma in March 2021 and with her support and advice (plus hard work from me) as of July 2022 I no longer have signs/symptoms of ulcerative colitis or anemia and am leading a normal life again. Thank you Emma!!
